Zane Campbell sings Phil Ochs

The first installment in what will be an on-going series of mini tribute albums from Emperor artists is Zane Campbell singing two songs by the late Phil Ochs. If you thought he was only a lame, lefty folk singer, think again. Zane played me two of his favorite Ochs songs back in 2013, and luckily I had the recorder running. Ochs, who committed suicide in 1976, at the age of 35, was a master songwriter and these are two of his finest songs. From his final album, the country-tinged "Greatest Hits," "No More Songs" was a fitting title for the last track on his last album.
